We’ll explore the local neighborhoods of Foz do Douro and Boavista, with their hidden gems such as Botanical Garden, Palácio de Cristal Gardens or Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, surrounded by lush parks and sculptures.
Then we’ll head towards the Atlantic coastline, discovering the characteristic fishing villages and enjoying the breathtaking ocean views.
We’ll stop for lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the sea where you can taste fresh local flavors and feel the ocean breeze — a perfect blend of art, nature, and local life.

The Roots of Portugal
Braga, Guimarães & the Ancient Castros
Traveling with me, you’ll uncover the history of the country — from its pre-Roman Celtic roots to the foundations of the Portuguese nation.
We’ll begin among the perfectly preserved ancient Celtic hillforts, surrounded by peaceful forests and rural landscapes — the ideal setting to walk, reflect, and connect with the spirit of ancient times, far from the mass tourism routes.
Then we’ll continue to Guimarães, known as the birthplace of the nation, and finally to Braga, where we’ll take a light hike among the sanctuaries of Bom Jesus do Monte and Sameiro, enjoying their spiritual atmosphere and breathtaking views.
A journey through the country’s oldest stories — where nature, spirituality, and history meet.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Q's
Are your experiences private or shared?
All my experiences are private, designed for individuals, couples or small private groups seeking a personalized and flexible approach.
The only non-private journeys are listed under Small Group Journeys, and even those are limited to a maximum of 8 travelers to maintain an intimate and high-quality experience.
I focus on quality, meaningful connection and flexibility rather than volume tourism.
What kind of traveler are your experiences designed for?
My experiences are designed for curious, conscious travelers who appreciate nature, culture and authentic local life.
They are ideal for those who prefer depth over speed and meaningful encounters over checklist tourism.
Are your tours sustainable?
Yes. Sustainability is a core value of my work.
I prioritize local businesses, family-run places, small-scale experiences and respectful travel practices that benefit local communities and protect natural environments.
How far in advance should I book?
Booking 3–6 months in advance is recommended, as availability is limited and all experiences are personally guided by me.
Last-minute requests are rarely possible due to my schedule and the bespoke nature of my work.
What is included in a typical experience?
Each experience includes my personal guiding, local insights and curated stops.
Some experiences may include tastings, workshops or special visits depending on the itinerary and your interests. Detailed information is always shared in advance.
Meals, transport or entrance fees may vary depending on the chosen experience.
Do you offer hotel pick-up?
Yes, in most cases pick-up in Porto or nearby areas can be arranged.
Details are confirmed during planning to ensure comfort and smooth logistics.
Can experiences be customized?
Absolutely.
Experiences can be tailored to your interests, pace and preferences whenever possible. This is one of the advantages of choosing a private experience.
Is Portugal a safe destination?
Portugal is considered one of the safest countries in Europe, with a relaxed atmosphere and welcoming culture.
As with any destination, normal travel awareness is recommended, but visitors generally feel very comfortable here.
Traveling with a guide vs. traveling independently
Traveling with a local guide offers access to places, stories and connections that are hard to discover independently. It saves time, reduces stress and allows you to experience Portugal through a more authentic and human perspective.
At the same time, if you prefer to travel independently, my travel consultations provide you with insider knowledge and trusted local recommendations.
Thanks to my local network, mentioning my name to selected partners, small businesses and local contacts often opens doors to special attention, kindness and details that make the experience more personal and memorable.
Both options allow you to discover Portugal more deeply — the difference simply lies in how you prefer to travel.
